ProcureStaff Technologies Shares Spend Management Best Practices at ProcureCon Indirect

Panels Focus on Challenges of Internal Support for Services Procurement Programs

February 25, 2010 --  ProcureStaff Technologies  and client NCR will address the challenge of enterprise-wide buy-in for centralized procurement programs utilizing an industry-standard Vendor Management System (VMS)  -- from ProcureStaff Technologies -- and MSP services -- from Volt Consulting MSP -- at this year's ProcureCon Indirect. The annual industry conference, which takes place March 1-3 in Charlotte, NC, focuses on best practices for spend management and contingent workforce procurement.

Carolyn Nolan, ProcureStaff Technologies VP of Sales, and Louise Robinson, Temporary Services Commodity Director at NCR, will host an event on March 2, entitled "Gaining Support for your Services Procurement Program."

Robinson's presentation focuses on the strategies successfully employed at NCR that have led to millions in savings, in both contingent workforce procurement costs and risk mitigation. Nolan's roundtable discussion continues focus on the topic later that same day, asking participants to consider and share their own challenges and creative methods of overcoming obstacles. Topics include strategic integration between procurement and IT, and using one technology platform for spend management of services and labor.

"The takeaway from these discussions isn't so much a list of the right answers as it's a list of the right questions," said Nolan. "Every company faces its own unique challenges, but for operations of the size of NCR you really have to make sure you've considered every angle. Companies who struggle with similar issues will benefit from hearing how Louise has built and continues to improve her program at NCR.”
